Keys for Hope

Since the inception of this local charity, Wonder Works has supported and promoted Keys for Hope. The project was started by a group of kids in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina who wanted to raise money for the local homeless shelter, Crisis Ministries. The project inspires and engages kids by decorating recycled, painted keys and turning them into little symbols of hope.

They sell decorated key chains and necklaces and have raised over $60,000 for Crisis Ministries. Each decorative key symbolizes “shelter” and the hope for a better future for Charleston’s homeless men, women and children.

The money they have raised and continue to raise has been dedicated towards the construction of a larger, cleaner, and more efficient building enabling Crisis Ministries to improve and add to their current programs. The new shelter will include a soup kitchen, free health clinic, case management offices, an education and learning center, job placement services, veterans’ dorm and more.

You can buy Keys for Hope key chains and necklaces at all Wonder Works locations.
